Good Shoes

LABEL: Useless Art Records

Good Shoes were formed in 2005 in Morden, South London. All 4 had been friends since childhood, with Tom and Rhys also being brothers. Steve and Rhys started writing songs in 2004, with Tom later joining on drums and Joel Cox then joining on bass.

Their first album ‘Think before you speak’ was recorded in Sweden with Per Sunding and released in 2007. Joel Cox left in 2008 and when the band recorded their second album their friend Bob Matthews played base, in 2009 Will Church ex bass player in Vincent Vincent and The Villians joined to tour the album and play on future recordings.

Following the successful release of their second album ‘No Hope No Future’ and their present month long headline tour of Europe, Good Shoes are coming back to home-shores with new single ‘The Way My Heart Beats’ and a full UK tour in April.

In line with Good Shoes punk ethos, ‘The Way My Heart Beats’ comes with 3 brand new, previously unheard songs: Easier Easier, Run Away With Me and Stand By.

The band are also giving fans a special download goodie bag over at their website, including a film of them performing a cover of Daniel Johnston’s ‘Despair Came Knocking’, a home movie made especially for their fans, called ‘Chasing Gulls’, Easier Easier from the new EP and an acoustic version of The Way My Heart Beats.
