Boondall Boys

LABEL: Turkeyneck Records
Hard Rubbish is balls out garage punk dirge assualt. With its mock Rollins Band cover with the boys at the local rubbish dump you know it is going to be a rough affair. Led by Brisbane's one only Mad Macka with a cast of hooligans from the Brisbane toilet rock scene.
Macka has had a long history in the trenches playing some of the wildest guitar punk in Australia for nearly twenty years, firstly with the ONYAS, touring the world several times and releasing four albums and countless singles. Macka also played gun for hire in the nineties with Australian legends the Cosmic Psychos and has been a permanent member for a few years now. He also fronted the Ego's in the early 00's with Link Meanie and John Spittles.
Hard Rubbish was recorded in one day at the Swashbuckling Hobo HQ with the Dangermen's Larmo Cusack at helm of his Tascam 688 cassette 8 track for maximum assaultive punishment. Dr Rock also from the the Dangermen is on bass trying to sound like swarm of bees with Turbo Nicko of the Hymies holding it all down on drums.
This ten track monster has killer originals complimented with choice covers of Black Flag, Bored! and the Gun Club. Standout tracks would have to be Paranoid forever, Never Rang Back and the last song on the album the late Black Flag-esque dirge 34 to 6.
Boondall Boys debut album would sit neatly in the pub with Cosmic Psycho's, Black Flag, Poppin Mommas, Bored, X, Feedtime, Grong Grong..... you get the picture.
This album is available on CD from Turkeyneck and Limited edition LP on Swashbuckling Hobo as well all major digital outlets, Distributed in australia thru the Fuse Music group.
