Vegas Kings

LABEL: Mere Noise Records
“…undoubtably one of Australia’s best (and loudest) live acts”… Rave Magazine
An ear-splitting, guitar drenched, grimy swamp, bleeding fingers, stomach wrenching, writhing, kicking, moaning, foot stomping three piece band from Brisbane, Australia
Vegas Kings’ 3rd album, "YOU'LL NEVER WORK IN THIS TOWN AGAIN" will be released in September of 2009 on Mere Noise Records & MGM Distribution. It was recorded by Jeff Lovejoy at Blackbox Studio in Brisbane and mixed by legendary Detroit producer Jim Diamond (Ghetto Recorders). These 12 tracks have been described as their toughest, tighest and most honest yet. With more Australian and European touring coming up it shows why it is a rare thing for these guys to find the time to release more CDs... and well worth it when they do!
Their second album, "DEAD MONEY" was released at the end of 2006. The album was produced by Chet Weise from American garage blues legends The Immortal Lee County Killers and engineered by Loki Lockwood of Spooky Records. On the strength of that album they toured throughout Europe to great crowds.
Vegas Kings first album release, “FOR THOSE WHO CAME IN LATE” released August 2003 through Mere Noise Records and MGM, received a swag of amazing reviews throughout Australia. With Melbourne's Beat Magazine naming it “Album of the Week” and praise from national music magazines such as BLUNT and Australian Guitar Magazine, the album increased the exposure of this Brisbane band.
The band has completed numerous east coast Australian tours with a relentless gigging and festival schedule helping to spread the Vegas Kings sound to audiences throughout Australia and Europe. Vegas Kings have played with the likes of The Dirtbombs (USA), The Bellrays (USA), The Black Keys (USA), The Immortal Lee County Killers (USA), Bob Log III (USA), The Queers (USA), The Soledad Brothers (USA), The Raveonettes, G Love & Special Sauce (USA), 50 Kaitenz (JPN), Mr. David Vinear (UK), The Easy Action (USA), John Schooley (USA), Beasts Of Bourbon, The Drones, Screamfeeder, Sixfthick, The Mess Hall, Mach Pelican, The Cosmic Psychos, Hoss, Spencer P Jones + many more (Including the 2007 Big Day Out and East Coast Blues Festival in Byron)
