Impossible Odds is 14 year Hip Hop veteran Fred Leone aka Rival MC and James Vincent aka DJ Returnagain as the two core members. Live support comes from Jeremy Youse aka Uzy MC (Hype Man & MC) who also features frequently on the first Impossible Odds release. Callum Robertson aka Calski (Beats) & Rachel Templeton (Vocalist).

Politically minded, with a view unique to urban Aboriginal Australia Impossible Odds brings fresh organic beats laced with intelligent and soulful lyrics.

Over the course of the past three years Impossible Odds has made leaps and bounds in establishing themselves as a force to be reckoned with. In 2007 they won the JB SEED Speak Indigenous Hip Hop Competition in which they received a $25,000 recording grant. 2008 saw the release of the JB SEED funded EP self titled “Impossible Odds” which caused the following big waves:

•  Single of the Week (Time Off Magazine May 21st 2008)
•  Release of the Week (Rave Magazine 2008)
•  Five Stars (ABC Online June 6th 2008)
•  Nomination for Most Promising New Talent in Music 2008 Deadly Awards
•  Featured Artist on Qantas International in flight radio for October, November & December on the show “The Spirit” with Robbie Buck.
•  Dual Spot Rotaion and High Rotation on Triple JJJ Radio for the EP tracks “Laugh it Off” & “Hey People”

Then 2009 rolled in and just when Impossible Odds thought things had settled down. They landed a tour support with The Last Kinection nationally which gave them their first taste of life on tour.They were then approached to play The Brisbane Festival were Fred Leone performed with Archie Roach a track they had collaborated on in April of 2008.

November of 2009 was another great time in their early career seeing Impossible Odds become one of Triple JJJ’s Aus Music Month Featured Artists.
